Established in 2019 and inspired by the successful recovery project of the Vigna della Regina, Luca Balbiano founded the Urban Vineyards Association (UVA). This association brings together representatives from Europe's most notable urban vineyards, fostering a platform dedicated to promoting and exchanging experiences in the realm of urban viticulture.

UVA stands as a testament to the promotion and sharing of urban viticulture experiences, championing values of urban innovation and social agriculture. Participating vineyards hail from major capitals like Paris, Barcelona, and Milan, alongside many lesser-known yet equally valuable urban vineyards.

Functioning as a pivotal reference for urban vineyards in Europe, UVA facilitates interactions and connections between diverse sectors within the industry.

Citiculture itself took shape through the convergence of three founders at UVA, collaborating in various capacities to contribute to the initiative's success. Their collective study and analysis of urban viticulture models within the Association paved the way for Citiculture's current framework.

Today, Luca Balbiano serves as the honorary president of the Urban Vineyards Association. UVA stands as an invaluable source of positive relationships for Citiculture, fostering connections globally within the industry.
