A new urban vineyard will grow at the Polytechnic University of Turin

An urban vineyard is born in Turin… within a university campus! Urban regeneration, common goods, technology and environmental innovation are the key words behind this innovative project promoted by the Polytechnic University of Turin (Politecnico di Torino) and Citiculture, a green tech startup that transforms urban spaces into places of great social and environmental impact with hi-tech vineyards

The goal is to transform our cities into places where nature and urban life coexist harmoniously,  creating green and sustainable spaces capable of improving people's quality of life.

Join us in this mission and choose to support a useful initiative, created to build an extraordinary new space within Politecnico’s main campus.

Citiculture

With your contribution, we will be able to turn this sustainable and inclusive project into reality, a small open-air laboratory for the entire community of the Politecnico di Torino.

5 good reasons to support the Turin Polytechnic's vineyard

Innovazione

Bring green innovation to life

By supporting this vineyard, you contribute to bring sustainable urbanization at Politecnico di Torino. Within this extraordinary venue, each vine will write a story of research, innovation and passion, becoming a symbol of change.

Biodiversità

Support the development of urban biodiversity

With your contribution to the vineyard of the Politecnico di Torino “Campus Grapes”, you help create an environment that can foster  biodiversity in the city. Urban vineyards represent living spaces for pollinating insects and a variety of flora that enriches the urban landscape and defends the vineyard from its main pathogens.

Città viva

A more lively city

An urban vineyard improves air quality, absorbs CO2 and reduces the urban heat island effect. Donating means contributing to a more livable city, with concrete benefits for the environment and the health of citizens.

Partecipazione

Participation and inclusion

With the project, spaces for community participation are created, involving students, teachers and citizens in the phases of birth and development of the vineyard. By donating, you enter a community built on sense of belonging, social cohesion, and community bonds.

Ambassador sostenibilità

Become a sustainability ambassador

By participating in crowdfunding, you will promote a new conception of City. You will be able to proudly share your contribution to an innovative, concrete, open and localized project!

Our history together

Campus Grapes was born from the meeting of shared visions between Citiculture and the Polytechnic University of Turin, united by the goal of creating a project that brings innovation, sustainability and research directly to the heart of the city. We both believe in transforming urban spaces into places of growth, to better host nature, people and communities.

Building an urban vineyard within the Politecnico will allow us with to integrate the agricultural traditions of viticulture with advanced technologies developed by the students and researchers on campus.

Campus Grapes is conceived as a unique and innovative venue, where plants and soil are equipped with smart sensors that monitor our plants’ health and their impact on the environment in real time. All data collected by Citiculture, Politecnico and DISAFA (University of Turin) will feed studies on how nature can contribute to the regeneration and biodiversity of urban spaces.

The urban vineyard will be an open-air laboratory, a hub where students, teachers, and citizens can meet, learn and excange. Campus Grapes represents the perfect synthesis between academic knowledge and green innovation, a project that combines technology and nature to offer more sustainable and inclusive city models. Citiculture and the Polytechnic together are sowing the roots of a common vision: a future in which cities flourish, one vine at a time.
